Ambassador Hanum Ibrahimova met with Guy Mettan, President of the Association of Swiss Foreign Trade Chambers.

During the meeting, Ambassador Ibrahimova briefed her counterpart about economic and business environment, as well as economic reforms carried out in Azerbaijan over the recent years. She also touched upon projects implemented between the two countries. At the same time, Azerbaijan’s success in hosting major international events was also highlighted.

The sides outlining priority areas, exchanged views on prospects for cooperation. Opportunities for cooperation between the Association and Azerbaijan’s relevant organizations, including partnership between Swiss and Azerbaijani medical institutions, as well as internship opportunities for Azerbaijani physicians at Swiss medical facilities were among topics of discussion. The sides came up with the idea of holding a roundtable in Baku with participation of all interested stakeholders to discuss concrete projects. Mr. Mettan also proposed of holding a presentation on economic potential of Azerbaijan in Geneva.
